LPH narrows netminder field, Denny in fine company.

Let's Play Hockey narrowed it's field of sensational senior goaltenders from 10 to 5 today and Andover's Madison Denny is among the final five.

Denny has not only been a key contributor to the Huskies successful season, one in which they have played one of the most difficult Class AA schedules in the state, but also has excelled in the classroom, challenging herself with college prepatory classes.

The LPH honor isn't solely based upon wins, losses, goals against and saves percentage.  None of the young women identified as one of the 10 best will get a chance to play in the NHL and it is unlikley many will parlay their on ice skills into a comfortable living.

The final 10 are phenomenal athletes and good students, as well as community leaders.  Each of the finalists have demonstrated their care and concern for others and have set aside time in their demanding schedules to give back to their schools and communities.

Congratulations to Madison Denny for being recognized as one of the top five young women in the state, who just happens to be an outstanding goaltender.  May your leadership, dedication and energy be an inspiration to all.
