Andover’s Peyton Hemp named 2021 Minnesota Ms. Hockey

Andover senior forward Peyton Hemp was named the 2021 recipient of the Minnesota Ms. Hockey award winner Saturday.

The Gophers commit tallied 34 goals and 46 assists this season while leading the Huskies to a second-place finish at the Class 2A state tournament. Hemp led Andover to a state title in 2020.

Other finalists included Minnetonka’s Rory Guilday, Edina’s Emma Conner, Warroad’s Genevieve Hendrickson and Grand Rapids/Greenway’s Claire Vekich.

The Senior Goalie of the Year winner is Minnetonka’s Brynn DuLac. DuLac led the Skippers to the Class 2A state semifinals this season, stopping 94.2 percent of shots faced while surrendering just 1.28 goals per game.
